Fall in Oklahoma means cooler evenings, cozy sweaters, and of course pumpkin patches! If you’re anything like me, visiting a patch (or three!) is an essential part of the season.

Here’s the deal: not all pumpkin patches are the same. Some are simple, with pumpkins spread across a field for photos and picking. Others are full-on fall festivals with rides, petting zoos, corn mazes, and sunflower fields. Over the years, my family has made it a tradition to check out multiple patches each season and we’ve discovered some gems near Tulsa that are absolutely worth your time.

1. Pumpkin Town Farms (Tulsa)

Pumpkin Town Farms is one of Tulsa’s most popular pumpkin patches, and it is easy to see why. The farm has a little bit of everything, from slides and a giant jumping pillow to a grain train and camel rides. There are plenty of farm animals to meet in the petting zoo, including goats, donkeys, and tortoises.

Carmichael’s has been a fall tradition for Tulsa-area families for decades. Oklahoma Heritage Farm is just north of Tulsa and has plenty of family-friendly fall activities without the big crowds. You can make your way through the corn maze, ride the hay wagon, or stop by the petting zoo. The pumpkin cannon and giant slingshot are fun extras if your kids like more action.

I loved how relaxed this patch felt, making it a nice option for a slower-paced day. My family had a blast on the slides, and the variety of animals gave it that authentic farm feel.

Livesay Orchards in Porter is a must-visit during the fall, especially since the town is known as the fruit capital of Oklahoma. This orchard grows apples, peaches, and pumpkins, and visiting feels like a true farm experience. You can hop on a tractor-pulled hayride out to the pumpkin patch and then make your way to the orchard to pick apples.

The farm keeps adding new touches each year, which makes returning a treat. It is a bit of a drive from Tulsa, but the mix of activities and the welcoming atmosphere make it worth the trip.

The Sand Springs location of The Patch is perfect for younger kids who enjoy a smaller, more contained setup. Families will find inflatables, a petting zoo, tube slide, hay maze, toddler zone, and festival-style games.

It is easy to keep track of the kids while they run from one activity to the next, and the photo opportunities are cute and simple. This spot works well if you want a low-key pumpkin patch experience that still offers lots of fun.

The entry fee for the Sand Springs location is $3 per person and the kid’s activity passes are $10.

The Glenpool location is a bit larger and has more variety in activities, which makes it a great fit for families with kids of different ages. My kids loved spending time with the chickens and bunnies, which ended up being their favorite part of our visit.
